Course content
The course is aimed at providing a brief but thorough overview of the most important concepts and institutions in constitutional law. Students will be familiarized with the fundamental principles of constitutionalism, the electoral process, judicial review, the counter-majoritarian dilemma, and the discourse of human rights. They will analyze the institutional design of the Hungarian constitutional system: the competences and role of the parliament, the president, the constitutional court, the ombudsmen and the judicial system.
